Creating powerful communities that work together

The number of young people in employment in October to December 2023 fell by 94,000 compared to the previous year and the number who are economically inactive increased by 180,000. The inactivity rate for young people was 41.5%, up from 39.4% in the previous year. (*Source - House of Commons Youth Unemployment Statistics)

Globally, a significant proportion of these young people are not engaged in education, employment, or training, often referred to as NEET. According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), around 22.2% of young people worldwide aged 15-24 were classified as NEET in 2022. This translates to approximately 267 million young people.

Young people who are NEET are at a higher risk of social exclusion and economic hardship. They often face challenges such as poverty, lack of skills, and limited job opportunities, which can perpetuate a cycle of disadvantage (theOECD) (ILOSTAT).

Our team is focused on sourcing and vetting opportunities and initiatives that empower young people to step out of the cycle, realise their potential and deliver projects that make a difference to themselves, their communities and our planet.

Connecting youth with innovative and experiential workshops creates a sense of honest self-esteem, confidence and empathy but also enables them to learn key employability skills.
